FAQs

  • What will change for Purple Seven customers in the short term?

    Very little.

Purple Seven will continue to be run as a separate legal entity, based in the UK with GDPR compliant local servers.

Purple Seven clients continue as data controller with Purple Seven acting on their behalf as data processor.

Will this change some time after the acquisition?

At some point TRG Arts may restructure its UK operation. If it does, it will continue to have a UK legal entity and deal with all UK and EU customer data under the General Data Protection Regulations. Data security and the proper adherence to data protection legislation will continue to be our number one priority.

Will Purple Seven clients have to sign a new contract?

If we are proposing changes to terms of service and/or you need to contract with a new or different legal entity, we’ll present clients with a new contract to consider before anything changes. It is quite likely that this will not be necessary.

Should a client’s contract be up for renewal, we’ll assess the situation at that time and make sure they are properly contracted with the appropriate UK entity.

What new access will TRG staff have to Purple Seven client data?

None. For the past year there have been processing agreements in place between Purple Seven and TRG. TRG has a UK Subsidiary company that will continue to provide technical services to Purple Seven under contract, but in so doing it will continue with the strict adherence to the data protection legislation.

Will Purple Seven continue as a separate company in the longer term?

It’s quite likely that we’ll want to reduce costs by running just one company in the UK, but it’s possible that we’ll maintain Purple Seven as it has been trading longer than TRG’s UK entity. No decisions have been made at this time as we're in the process of getting advice on this.

Will the Purple Seven name/brand remain?

It certainly will until the end of this financial year. After that it could be that while the company remains operating, legal and/or trading names change. We’re considering this at the moment.

Will Purple Seven customers still go to purpleseven.com to login?

There are no plans to change how clients get access to reports and services at the moment. The same is true for invoicing and support. If anything changes, we’ll make this as simple as possible.

How can Purple Seven customers benefit in the short term?

TRG Arts is offering a complimentary strategy session for every P7 client. We’ll put you in touch with the best person to talk with about your challenges and opportunities, and how the combined power of TRG consulting and P7 technology can support you.

What will change for TRG Arts customers in the UK in the short term?

Clients won’t notice any change in their relationship with TRG Arts. We will be looking to roll out Purple Seven’s integration with ticketing systems to provide our clients near real-time analytics, to streamline our consulting offer and to provide lots of new tools and insights designed to help cultural organisations maximise their potential through our customer centric approach.

What will change for TRG Arts customers in North America in the short term?

    Very little.

We’ve enjoyed a strong partnership with Purple Seven for the last few years. TRG contracted with Purple Seven in 2020 to collect client data for the COVID benchmark. Our acquisition of Purple Seven doesn’t change these contracts or relationships. Purple Seven, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of TRG, continues as our contractor to collect this data on our behalf and they’ll continue to do so with the same level of technical diligence and concern for security as before the acquisition.

What new access will Purple Seven staff have to TRG client data?

For the past year there have been processing agreements in place between Purple Seven and TRG. Purple Seven will continue to provide some technical services to TRG under contract, but in so doing it will continue with the strict adherence to the data protection legislation and good practice.

How can TRG Arts customers benefit in the short term?

We will be looking to roll out Purple Seven’s integration with ticketing systems to provide our clients near real-time analytics, to streamline our consulting offer and to provide lots of new tools and insights designed to help cultural organisations maximise their potential through our customer centric approach.

How does the Californian Consumer Privacy Act impact on this acquisition?

Because TRG is the processor of client data, there are no direct implications of the CCPA on this acquisition. Client data is collected by Purple Seven under contract and for users of the Data Center application the same terms and conditions apply. The only change is that TRG now owns the company that performs the data collection service. Purple Seven will not use your data for any other purpose than what you have agreed to.
